We´ve arrived at the year 2003
And while in one of the hottest summers in our little great loving country, 75.000 people demonstrated in Amsterdam together with 15 million other people around the world in the greatest protest against a possible war in Iraq. Which unfortunately was not stopped by this statement! The turnout was largest in Rome (3 million), London (1 million), Madrid (1.5 million), and Barcelona (1 million). In Brussels about 70,000 people marched through the streets, Collectively, these demonstrations are considered the largest peace demonstration since the Vietnam War. The demonstration in Rome you will find in the 2004 Guinness Book of World Records
