Winnaar NCC 1958

We highlight the year 1958 in the history of our beloved club. The year that The World Expo was held in Brussels. It was the first major World Expo after World War II.

On this occasion, the IBA conference and the ICC was also taking place in the Belgian capital that year. Our national competition took place in the ‘Wintertuin’ of Hotel Krasnapolsky

Piet Kordelaar from The Black Horse Bar Utrecht won the competition with his cocktail 'Pioneer'.

The Orange Curaçao in this cocktail is from one of the great French distilleries, founded in 1868, Cusenier. The head office was located in Paris, but the family-owned a distillery in the Cognac area. The Cusenier family has contributed greatly to the science of distillation and is today part of the Pernod Ricard group.

This classic Orange Curaçao can still be found at various auction sites. So if you're looking for something original, look for this particularly beautiful liqueur.
