Flashback to 1971, a great year for greatness
It is Mr. Willem Schlagwein from the famous Le Coq d’Or in The Hague who wins the NCC that year in hotel Krasnapolsky. His cocktail Gringo Stir;
30 ml Bisquit cognac (we prefer Remy Martin)
30 ml Galliano
30 ml Kahlua
Stir with ice (Hoshizaki Benelux)
Also that year Mr. Jan van Hagen is chosen to be the next President of the NBC, after being the Secretary since 1960. The beginning of a great period for him, which will later lead him to become the President of the IBA and honorary presidency’s at both the NBC and the IBA. We shall hear more of this remarkable and important member of the NBC as we go on to highlight our rich history at this page.
