1960. In this year the 10th National Cocktail Competition was held in .... you guessed it: Hotel Krasnapolsky.
Frans van der Goes, bartender of the Apollo Paviljoen in Amsterdam, was declared the winner with his cocktail: Poisson Rouge
1960 is also the year in which the president of the NBC, Jacques Platteschone, died. In memory of Jacques Platteschone, the trophy won by him in 1954 in Switzerland (the so-called "beer") was renamed ‘Jacques Platteschone Wisseltrofee’.
To this day, this prestigious club trophy is awarded for one year to the winner of our National Cocktail Competition.
