Winnaar NCC 1953

In 1953 durng the Dutch National Cocktail Competition Eddy Peterse took home the win for The Hague with his showstopper.

His place of work, The House of Lords in the Hague, is aptly named, as it was here where the hip and happening of the times got together, since 1917! An icon in the cities' culinary history.

This drink has a couple of my favorite ingredients, as Orange Gin, a dutch tradition and greatly appreciated ingredients in cocktails has made a re-appearance in recent years after having disappeared for decades, plus DOM Benedictine, a true classic. Finished with Apricot brandy and red vermouth.

Celebrate history with the Bonfire!

1 cl Gordon's Gin Orange

2 cl Lucas Bols Apricot Brandy (we prefer De Kuyper)

1 cl Bénédictine DOM

1 cl Cinzano Rosso (we prefer Valdespino)

Proost!
