We go back to 1956!
Once again at the beautiful NH Collection Amsterdam Grand Hotel Krasnapolsky, it was the 6th Nationale Cocktail Competitie on the 1st and 2nd of November. That's just one day before The Wizard of Ozz was broadcasted on television for the first time on the 3rd of November that year
More importantly the winning bartender on the Nationale Cocktail Competitie 1956 was:
Gerard Laanen who worked at the Savoy Club, Den Haag at that time. He made a delicious 1st prize cocktail named "Friendship" with just 3 ingredients:
1,5cl Silver Top Dry Gin (We prefer Gin from Stokkery Klopman)
3cl Bols Dry Orange Curacao We prefer De Kuyper)
1,5cl Lemon Squash
Shake all ingredients and strain into martini glass
